Gerardo Chairez is a professional in the semiconductor business. On December 15, 2007, St. Edward’s University Austin, Texas conferred upon Gerardo a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Management. His master’s degree is an addition to two other degrees in science. Gerardo joined the U.S. Army at the age of 19. He served for 4 active years. During his military tour, he served in Korea. He left military active duty service in September ’93. Gerardo was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in ’97.
Summary: Mr. Chairez is a specialist in bulk chemical supply systems. He has a very broad education range. He is a professional in the semiconductor business at Spansion. Current work duties include complex maintenance tasks on computer-based plant facilities and equipment involving trades such as plumbing, fabrication, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and controls. He sets up and operates computer based tools and equipment. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, calibrates, and performs complex repair on facility systems. Assists facility engineers in evaluating equipment/system operating characteristic against design requirements, recommends changes to improve design and operation. Trains and assists in training less experienced technicians. Mr. Chairez evaluates emergency responses to minimize plant operation disruptions to manufacturing departments. Other duties include managing data and databases for weekly, monthly, and annual reports. Reports include performing data analysis, statistical process control, process analysis, process improvement. Chemical samples are tested utilizing laboratory equipment, techniques, and procedures. He resolves problems to improve and provide service to business customers.
